I got a great car, 2 yrs later I needed to order a special vault bolt. Dan assisted me with this despite all the challenges in sorting out postage etc. Subaru covered the postage cost. I was a bit unlucky with the postal service, however Dan tried his best and I appreciate his effort. My order is here - great job Subaru Whittlesey!

Visited MTC Subaru, Peterborough on Saturday 11 September to view a Subaru WRX STI having made arrangements with Rod over the phone. Very polite, no pressure from him and completed the visit with a test drive. Made some observations about the car which Rod informed me he would sort out should I wish to purchase. Visited again, today Friday 24 September in order to buy the car…it was was presented in excellent condition with ‘my observations ‘ rectified. I was very impressed. Met the ‘boss’, Mark who was very helpful and a Subaru owner himself so offered practical advice. The best bit : 2 and half hours driving the car home……awesome and the first time I have ever been waved at by other road users ( in Scoobies !). Great service from Rod supported by Mark and I now feel part of the Subaru family.

This is my second experience buying a Subaru and just like the first it has been a very good experience. I have never been someone with strong brand loyalty for a particular make of car but I have always preferred buying a Japanese car because you get good build quality and reliability at a reasonable price compared to other European cars. In the past I have owned Nissans and Suzuki cars. My first Subaru was a 1.6 Impreza CVT, I really liked the car for its practicality - large boot and AWD. I owned the car for just under 2 years without any complaints, but I have always fancied owning a sports car at some time in my life. This was when I saw a blue BRZ sitting in my local dealers showroom whilst I was there to have my car serviced. Last year was a terrible year for us all and without going anywhere I didn't spend much money so a month later after first seeing the car I registered an interest with MTcars as I had the money to spend. I spoke to Mark Twigg who had dealt with me first time round with the Impreza. I explained to Mark that I was very happy with my current car and really didn't need to change it, I just wanted to look at the BRZ and see for myself what it was like. I dropped in one afternoon and had a long chat with him about the car whilst I took a look round it at the showroom. Mark was happy to spend time with me and just talk about the car, he didn't try and push a sale at me. This is something I value from a car salesman when I take a first look at a car. Other car dealers have tried to push a hard sale on me first time and I find that rude when you don't know if you like the car your looking at yet. Before viewing the BRZ I had a bad experience at a Toyota dealer where I was ignored by the staff for sometime when I was trying to look at the BRZ's sister model the GT86 for a future comparison. I never went back to the Toyota dealership. I really liked the look and feel of the BRZ and explained to Mark I would be interested in a test drive. I also explained to him that working in farming I couldn't see myself having much spare time until a couple of weeks later. He was happy to book a test drive later in the month for me. About 2 weeks later I had the time outside of work to test drive the car. Everything was ready when I got there and Mark came out with me for the test drive. I really liked the feel of the car down the road, having a test drive of a car is a must for me because you never really get a sense of what the vehicle is like until your behind the wheel. Everything after the test drive was plain and straight forward, Mark gave me a fair price for trading in my current car and I left after paying a deposit. Roughly a week later the car was ready for me after I specified having it paint protected and serviced. Mark ran through the paper work simply and efficiently before handing me the keys. As a cash buyer I had bank transferred the rest of the money owed on the car in advance. Even after the deal was done and I was sitting in my new car Mark was happy to spend a few minutes talking to me before I left. It's a real pleasure to deal with a genuine salesman who you can just talk to without them trying to cut down on the chat and straight onto striking a deal. At the end of the day I am still his potential customer but dealing with Mark at MTcars I still felt like a person and not just a number on a sales figure goal which had been the case at my local Suzuki dealership or not a person at all at Toyota. Needless to say I will be bringing my new BRZ back to MTcars every time for its future services and would highly recommend them to other people.

Dealt with these gentlemen, who took excellent care of my 1993 Subaru WRX, Japanese import. Will be back for repeat service and can't express enough how professional these guys were.
